Nancy Sullivan is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who enjoys caring for a broad spectrum of patients, especially those with hypertension, diabetes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a common lung disease.
Her philosophy is to build trusting relationships with her patients through compassionate, patient-oriented care.
Nancy was inspired to become a Family Nurse Practitioner while working as a cardiovascular nurse. She realized she wanted to have a greater impact on patient care before the patient reached the hospital setting. Becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner gave her that ability.
She most enjoys the connections she is able to make with her patients. These connections help develop the trust needed for optimal patient care. Nancy believes patients would say she listens to their concerns and explains the disease process and treatment in a way they can understand. The encouragement and praise she provides makes patients feel special and cared for. Nancy works diligently to improve her patients’ quality of life by focusing not only on disease diagnosis and management, but disease prevention, health and wellness. When she’s not working, Nancy enjoys gardening, reading and her morning dog walking group.
