Throughout my career as a Family Physician, I have always believed we are in the business of treating people, not just diseases. Patients usually find I am approachable and accessible, I have a sense of humor and I can usually explain complex medical problems in plain, simple English. With a gentle and caring office staff, we can make most patients feel at ease.
I chose to go into Family Medicine because of the opportunity to treat patients with a wide range of medical problems, putting all my diagnostic and therapeutic skills to work to help them stay healthy. Family Medicine allows me to interact with my patients and their families on a personal level as well as a professional level.
Although I enjoy the variety of medical issues I face every day, I am especially interested in the treatment of diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and weight control.
I have lived in Arizona since the 1970s and have been practicing Family Medicine in Tucson since 1986. In my spare time, I enjoy watching the Arizona Wildcats and Chicago Bears games, as well as playing the piano, traveling, and building/programming computers.
