The first time I recall being in a hospital was when a family member was a patient. Watching the care and compassion that was given helped me realize this career was a perfect fit for me. There are many different reasons one decides to become a doctor and for me it was simply that I want to help others.
I chose to specialize in gastroenterology because the field is a multi-organ specialty, allowing me to treat patients with a wide variety of conditions associated with the digestive system.
I believe patients would describe me as a good listener, approachable and attentive. Every patient is unique. My promise to my patients is to ensure they always receive the right care and feel cared for.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, basketball, fishing, exercising and watching sports.
