Northwest Medical Center has distinguished itself in a variety of clinical areas including:

	Heart Failure Accreditation:  Northwest Medical Center is an accredited Heart Failure Center recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers. NMC’s protocol-driven and systematic approach to patient management allows physicians to reduce time to treatment, and to risk stratify patients to decrease their length of stay. One of NMC’s unique answers to meet the needs of these patients is through its Heart Failure Clinic, which helps patients manage their condition, improve quality of life and slow the progression of the disease.  Click here to learn more.
	Chest Pain Center Accreditation:  Northwest Medical Center is an accredited Chest Pain Center recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers. 	Bariatric Center of Excellence: Northwest Medical Center and Dr. Patrick Chiasson and Dr. Stephen Burpee have received the Bariatric Center of Excellence designation from the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). 	Breast Imaging Center of Excellence: Northwest Women's Imaging (NWI) has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR). NWI is a part of Northwest Medical Center. NWI is the only hospital-based imaging program in Tucson that has received a Center of Excellence designation from ACR (as of October 2011). 	Total Knee and Hip Replacement Gold Seal™ Designation Northwest Medical Center's (NMC) Total Joint Program has earned the Gold Seal of Approval™ for health care quality. 	Primary Stroke Center Gold Seal™ Designation When you experience symptoms of a stroke, get to Northwest Medical Center. We are certified by The Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center. That's important, because these centers have demonstrated expertise in the early assessment, rapid diagnosis and treatment of stroke emergencies according to The Joint Commission.
