Northwest Medical Center
The Women’s Center was designed with mother and baby in mind. Our inviting
facility and comprehensive programs support you from the time you find out you
are pregnant through delivery and post delivery too (including lactation
consultants and a breast pump rental program). If you would like to tour the
facility, please contact Teri Benitez, Coordinator for Women’s Center Community
Programs at 577-4156 for information or 866-NW4WELL to schedule a tour.
Note: The Women’s Center is a designated “Safe Baby Site” anonymous,
no-questions-asked drop off location for newborns.
Labor and Delivery Unit
The Women’s Center has 13 labor and delivery rooms, 17 mother and
baby rooms. Mother delivers baby and stable infants remain with the mother
throughout her stay in the same room.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Level II): For newborns
requiring extra care, The Women’s Center has an ICU specially designed
to take care of them with 13 beds. We also have round the clock coverage by a
neonatal physician.
