Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS)
Minimally invasive surgical spine treatment has been advanced with the use of endoscopic surgical techniques in which surgery is performed with special instruments resulting in smaller incisions, less pain, decreased risk of infection, less blood loss and, most importantly, a potentially faster recovery for you!
Computer Assisted Technology
Many of our surgeons utilize efficient, technologically-advanced,computer-assisted and navigational surgical techniques. The surgical spine team at Northwest Medical Center was the first hospital in Southern Arizona to use the technology and our team has over ten years' experience with both computer assisted and navigational surgical intervention, including computer assisted placement of spinal hardware. What does that mean to you? Less damage to the tissue surrounding the incision for a quicker recovery with an improved healing process.
Other surgical treatment options provided at Northwest include:
- Motion preservation spinal surgery
- Non-surgical spine treatment
