Orthopedics is the medical specialty dealing with injuries or conditions associated with bones, muscles and tendons.
Whether it's a broken leg, carpal tunnel problems, a torn ligament or spine damage from osteoporosis, our goal is to get people moving again through an integrated course of treatment that may include surgery, non-surgical procedures, and physical and occupational therapy. Northwest Allied Physicians Dr José Alicea, Dr. Rex Cooley and Dr. Kim Tucker are orthopedic surgeons and members of the medical staff at Northwest Medical Center and Oro Valley Hospital.
Dr. Alicea is fellowship trained in Sports Medicine and Total Joint Replacement, however he practices general orthopedics including fracture care and back and neck problems. He appreciates the importance of ensuring that patients have a clear understanding of their diagnosis and treatment options.
