Chronic, non-healing wounds, those that haven’t shown signs of improvement in several weeks or are not responding to typical treatments, need extra help to heal. The Wound Care Center at Northwest Medical Center offers a multidisciplinary approach to wound care. The inpatient wound care team communicates and consults with multiple healthcare disciplines. Utilizing technological advances, the caring staff at the Wound Care Center isn't just focused on healing wounds, but healing people with wounds.
Medical direction is provided by Scott Bolhack, M.D., and Victoria Hensley, R.N. Dr. Bolhack, a certified wound specialist, has lectured locally and nationally on wound care issues. Hensley serves as the clinical director and is a registered nurse and certified wound specialist.
